    Description

Amazingly intricately engraved Hawaiian Kukui nut watch fob/pendant.  This truly unique piece tells the story of the First Washington Volunteer Infantry that was assembled in Camp Rogers in Tacoma, WA and the subsequent travels to San Francisco, Honolulu and Manila.  We believe the stunning leave motif, that was designed to follow the shape of the Kukui nut is gold, but there is not carat marking.  This one of a kind work of military art, dated 1898 weights approximately 11 grams, and is approximately 1.5 inches by 1.25 inches, and appears to be engraved with the solider's initials. It dates to the Spanish American War era.
